Expert Analysis

Expert Analysis & Case Review
I provide independent analysis of repossession and asset recovery practices, focused on evaluating how actions compare to commonly recognized industry practices, applicable law, and professional expectations under similar circumstances.
My work is grounded in:
  • Direct field experience
  • Published professional standards and training materials
  • Established operational practices within the industry
  • Structured, repeatable analytical methodology

Professional Positioning
My role is not to advocate for a particular outcome, but to:
  • Clarify what occurred based on the available information
  • Evaluate how the conduct compares to commonly recognized industry practices and expectations
  • Identify whether the conduct falls within, approaches the limits of, or departs from the range of professional behavior observed under similar circumstances
This approach is designed to provide structured, methodical analysis that can be clearly explained, evaluated, and tested.

Scope of Analysis
Engagements may include analysis and evaluation of:
  • Allegations involving breach of peace
  • Use of force, threatened force, and escalation dynamics
  • Agent conduct and decision-making under field conditions
  • The influence of operational conditions, environmental factors, and situational pressures on decision-making
  • Training, supervision, and organizational oversight practices
  • Alignment with commonly recognized industry practices and operational expectations
  • Policy and procedure design as applied in real-world operations
  • Documentation practices, accuracy, and evidentiary consistency
  • Vendor management, oversight, and compliance structures

Methodology
Each analysis follows a structured approach to ensure consistency, clarity, and transparency in the evaluation process.
This process generally includes:
  • Review of case materials (reports, video, audio, depositions, company standards/policies, personnel files, SoR entries, company logs, contracts)
  • Identification of key decision points and environmental factors
  • Evaluation against recognized operational practices and safety expectations
  • Separation of observable facts from assumptions or unsupported conclusions
  • Application of a consistent analytical framework to assess conduct
Where appropriate, findings are supported by reference to published materials, training frameworks, and commonly understood field practices.

Engagement Services
Services are tailored to the needs of each matter and may include:
  • Case consultation and preliminary case assessment
  • Review and analysis of case materials, including reports, recordings, and other available evidence
  • Evaluation of witness statements and recorded interviews
  • Participation in counsel-directed discussions or interviews to clarify technical or operational issues
  • Site visits or scene observations to assess environmental and operational context
  • Written reports summarizing findings and opinions
  • Rebuttal or supplemental analysis, as requested
  • Deposition testimony
  • Trial testimony
All services are provided based on the scope of engagement and materials made available, and are limited to areas within my expertise.

Nature of Opinions

All opinions are:
  • Based on the information made available at the time of review
  • Formed using a consistent and documented methodology
  • Grounded in experience, training, and industry-specific knowledge
  • Limited to areas within my expertise
I do not offer legal conclusions. Instead, I provide analysis intended to assist counsel, courts, and decision-makers in understanding how the actions in question compare to professional practices and expectations observed within the industry.
